Modern Office Furniture
The basic pieces of office furniture such as tables, chairs, sofa sets, cabinets, file drawers and presentation boards should be practical yet appealing to the user.
The traditional wooden office furniture of the past has been replaced by vinyl and steel furniture and the use of glass in the modern day office furniture has improved its look. Glass is molded, colored and etched in order to create various designs and patterns.
Tables, an integral component of office furniture are available in many sizes. Large tables with matching chairs are required in conference rooms where image and comfort is vital as clients are often entertained and presentations are held.
Desks, plush chairs, drawers and waiting room and foyer furniture are vital components of office furniture. It is important to note that large desks often tend to be intimidating to clients while large number of drawers creates confusion. A neatly arranged and welcoming reception desk, few cozy sofas and low tables coupled with matching paintings and wall hangings are sufficient for a foyer area.
Setting up a complete office requires a considerable amount of planning and investment. It is also difficult and impractical to change or replace office furniture frequently for reasons such as disturbing workers and work processes, workers and clients’ preference to operate in familiar settings etc.
